Curating a Book Shelf for The Last Bookstore’s “Indie Shelves Initiative” Launching on Saturday, November 3, 2012

Rosalind is continuing to bring unique literary programs to Los Angeles and beyond by participating as a guest curator in The Last Bookstore’s exhibition, the “Indie Shelves Initiative.”

The Last Bookstore, located at 453 S. Spring St., invited several individual curators and local, independent presses, to each curate a book shelf. The shelves will remain on exhibit through March 2013. Rosalind focused on Los Angeles based talent in the science, science fiction and fantasy writing worlds.

The featured books and authors include the graphic novel of “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle and adapted and illustrated by Hope Larson; “Struck,” the new novel by Jennifer Bosworth; the graphic novel “B.P.R.D. 1946” by Joshua Dysart; the fantasy novel “The Wonderland Wars” by Frank Beddor; and JPL/NASA planetary scientists Todd Ratcliff and David Baker’s book, “The 50 Most Extreme Places in the Solar System.”

A reading with the authors is being organized for the winter.
