Feminism, Birding, and Unexpected Models of Community Based Change Workshop a Success

Last month, I had the honor of teaching a civic engagement workshop at the Women’s Center for Creative Work. The workshop combined elements of the histories of feminism, birding, and conservation to teach about past and present models of community based change that may be unexpected to many. Participants engaged in birding exercises along the Los Angeles Rover and worked on developing their own projects, too. A zine based on the workshop will soon be published by the WCCW.
