Los Angeles Signs Biodiversity Action Pledge at UN Biodiversity Conference

 

The City of Los Angeles took a bold step forward for biodiversity when the city signed onto “The Montreal Pledge for Cities United in Action for Biodiversity” during the UN Biodiversity Conference — COP 15 — that took place in Montreal in December 2022.

Forty-seven cities across five continents have signed the pledge, which includes 15 actions to protect biodiversity. These actions fall under: Reduce Threats to Biodiversity; Share the Benefits of Biodiversity; Solutions, Governance, Management and Education.
