May came to a spectacular close with the performed readings of the finalists’ stories for The Tomorrow Prize and The Roswell Award. I direct these two science fiction short story writing competitions, one for Los Angeles high school students and the other for adults worldwide, and it was thrilling to hear the stories read on stage, and to announce the winners. Congratulations to the winners: Matilda Berke of Polytechnic School in Pasadena is the winner of The Tomorrow Prize, and Liam Hogan of London is the winner of The Roswell Award.
