I’m thrilled to announce that on February 21, 2016, I’ll be presented with the Emerging Leader Award by the National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles. Since 2014, I’ve worked with NCJW/LA’s Advocacy Committee and Reproductive Justice Working Group. My focus has been reproductive justice, including abortion access, as well as other important social justice issues. I’ve taken a leadership role in organizing, curating and emceeing the annual Roe vs. Wade Anniversary Celebration for two years, participated in numerous lobby visits to elected officials — including traveling to Sacramento last year and to Washington D.C. next month, and helped to shape NCJW/LA’s advocacy programs. NCJW/LA does extraordinary social justice work and it’s an honor to receive this award. Learn more about NCJW/LA HERE.
